Sigh

I swear, time is passing by slower and slower each day. My pile of granny squares is growing larger and larger and my lovely lilac baby blanket is growing as well. (I only work on the baby blanket while my wife is at work so that is a slow project).

Im currently in the process of watching my way through all the DVD's we got for Christmas. (We are currently on the second season of The Tudors, which is this AMAZING showtime TV series about King Henry VIII we got on DVD) I work on my squares while doing that.

I am also anxiously awaiting news from my school as to whether of not I will be receiving financial aid this semester

sigh. I guess my wife might be able be able to score me a job as babysitter for her boss' 3 or 4 year old son (Woot!!! I LOVE kids. I hope I don't screw it up)

I've Done It!!!

One milestone has been reached!!!! I have made all 24 of the purple granny squares that I needed. 24 down, 120 to go! ^_^ Oh, I am so excited. I have yet to get my orange, yellow or white yarn. Sigh. Oh well, I guess if anything I'll get them when I finish up this yarn.....

Oh I am so thrilled. This has become very time consuming, thankfully I am out of school until February. Who knows, maybe if I'm lucky, my beautiful blanket will be done in time for valentines day. ^_^

Now, ON TO THE BLUE!!!!!!!

Zomg!!!!

So I was at walmart last night and I found this WONDERFUL yarn for that Yellow Hearts Baby Blanket I want to make. Its Bernat's Softee Baby yarn in Soft Lilac. Its so silky and light and i fell in love instantly.
That is the beautiful color in all of its lilac glory. Sigh. Im so excited to get this blanket started. I'm still working on the granny square blanket so Im thinking ill alternate between projects every day and hopefully, itll work out ^_^ Im so excited!!!!

I hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Mine was totally crazy!

That is all the stuff that my wife and I got accumulated together. minus the awesome backpack and purse I got (both purple ^_^) This was a good Christmas.

And this is how far Ive gotten with my squares. lol 16 purple. Almost ready to move on to more colors.

So I don't remember if Ive mentioned this or not but I recently realized I mis-calculated how many squares of each color I needed. I thought I only needed 12 (and I was so excited when I reached that number of purples) then I realized that I needed 24 of each (sigh) So I'm slowly but surely getting there.

Merry almost Christmas!!!!!!

It's 11:20 PM here and I am so anxious for Christmas!!!!! I'm going nuts. I am slowly working my way though the granny squares for my blanket and I'm constantly looking at the clock. It's driving me bonkers!!!!!!

YAY!!!!!!! Early Christmas Presents!!!!!!!

YAY!!!!! I'm so excited!!!!! I got my yarn early!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! Now I can continue my Works In Progress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Merry Christmas to me!!!!!!!!

Blarg!!!!

So I'm happy but yet not. I know I've got more yarn coming my way so I can make more granny squares, But 1) I have to wait until Christmas. (3 whole days left!!! O-o What am I going to do?)
and 2) I don't have all of the colors that I need. Apparently Jo-Ann's doesn't like to keep Mango, Lemonade, or Coconut in stock so I'm stuck with working with just Watermelon, Limelight, Blue Mint, and Grape >_< GRRRRRR!!!!!!

AND on top of that I still want some soft baby colors so I can continue on my quest of making that AMAZING baby blanket!!!!!!

Man, I'm bored, I'm sick and to top it off, I have nothing pretty to work on.
Rawr!!!

Woot!!!!

I think I've done it!
I think I have figured out the pattern for this blanket.
Granted I'm not going to have enough yarn to actually finish it.
But hell at least I figured it out.
I'm feeling very proud of myself

Okay, I'm on a mission!

So I found this really cute baby blanket from Crochet Me Crazy right? Well, unfortunately for me, the woman who made the blanket never put up a pattern. So I am absolutely determined to figure out how to make this darling blanket, and if I can figure it out, I'll do my darnedest to try to write you guys a pattern. Okay, well off to try to start this thing ^_^

Update:
I guess the nice lady found the pattern in a book. The link is in her page if you want to go check it out!!!!!

Hello Again! ^_^

So, as I promised yesterday, here are the pictures of my new bag.

I got the design from the wonderful Lucy in Attic24. (Thanks Lucy!)

Anywho, today is kind of a slow day, I'm not really doing much. I ran out of yarn and I currently don't have the funds to get more. Maybe Santa will be kind and bring me some. Ha ha! Wishful thinking.

Oh! I have to show my lovely readers this new book I just got!

Its called "The Crochet Stitch Bible" by a lady named Betty Barnden. Now I personally don't know anything about her but according to the back of this book she is "a freelance needlecraft designer whose crochet designs have appeared in many magazines and been published by prestigious yarn companies. She has written books on knitting and embroidery and continues to inspire crochet fans the world over."

The illustrations and instructions in this book are wonderful. I hope that through this book I can improve my crocheting skills. ^_^

You can get it here for a pretty amazing price (Cheaper than what I paid for it. Lol.).

Okay, so I'm really anxious to pick up my other project I'm working on. As I said before, I'm lacking in yarn. I'm trying to make a granny square blanket for my bed and I was sooooo disappointed when I ran out of my lovely yarn.

That's all I have done so far. (Pathetic I know) I'm using Caron Simply Soft Brites yarn in a wonderful array of colors. Im still missing a couple colors though. So far I have:

I'm hoping to add:
I'm excited! I'm not sure how I'm going to arrange the squares but I do know that I am going to use the Coconut for the trim.

Okay well, I suppose that's it for now.....

Bye!!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!!

Oh, I am so excited to be here! My very own blog! ^_^

Okay, so I feel I should for-warn you, I may not be very good at this blogging thing. But I will do my hardest! Let's see, I should probably inform you that this blog, (hopefully) will mostly be about me and my crocheting adventures!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE to crochet!
Although I've just finally gotten around to actually making stuff lol

So that is me!!! And my very first finished project.
I used Caron Simply Soft Brites yarn (my favorite brand)
It's so soft and cuddly ^_^ It makes me happy.

And this is a scarf I made!
I know, I'm not that good. But I'm trying ^_^
I just now finished making a bag.
I'll try to get pix up tomorrow or something.
Well, I think that's it for now.

BYE NOW!!!!!!! ^_^
